If you’ve ever seen the splash of a large fishing taking a careless grasshopper off of the surface of the water, you don’t soon forget it.  Dave’s Hopper is one of the better high floating grasshopper imitations.  The spun hair head and hackle is a great imitation of a grasshopper fluttering in attempt to fly from the surface. Dave’s Hopper is a great mid-day pattern on hot summer days.
