The Adams is always in my list of top 10 fly patterns to have in my fly box. It is the quintessential attractor dry fly pattern that imitates Mayflies, mosquitoes, midges and a variety of other insects that hungry trout will readily take off of the surface. This is one of more classic dry fly patterns you can own. When trout are feeding off the surface and you aren’t sure what to use, the Adams is a great place to start.
